Welcome to the ATI Client Portal.
Using the navigation
bar above, you will be able to access all of the information
necessary to understand what to do and what to expect before, during and
after your thermal imaging session.
You can also read
about your report, and see how the report is presented. Included is a
minor glossary (below) of Thermographic terms to help you decipher the
more technical regions of the report.
You can also view a
sample report and see representatives of the different sections of the
report as they will appear in real life.
Glossary of minor terms:
Hyper - greater or more than normal
Hypo - lesser or less than normal
Inferior - below
Superior - above
Medial - closer to the mid line of the body
Lateral - further away from the mid line of the body
Anterior - towards the front of the body
Posterior - towards the back of the body
Thermo - pertaining to temperature
Typical - as would be typically expected
Atypical - NOT as would be typically expected
By stringing some of
these meanings together, you can then decipher some of the more
technical parts of the report. For example:
Hyperthermia - greater temperature
Hypothermia - lesser temperature
Then you can start
to use these terms in descriptions as well.
A sentence like,
"the posterio-lateral aspect of the left shoulder exhibits an
atypical hypothermic pattern..."
will mean that the
rear and outside part of the left shoulder shows a pattern which is
colder than typically expected.
If all else fails,
just ring the centre and we will be happy to help you look at the more
technical part of
your report if you want to know more about it.
You may also hear
terms like Near Infrared and Far Infrared, these simply denote relative
closeness in frequency (near) to visible light, and its opposite at the
far end of the infrared spectrum.
