Thermal Imaging

The MED2000 Clinical Thermal Scanner

The Thermal Imaging unit that we use is the MED2000 (below). The MED2000 is an advanced thermal scanning unit, with definition of temperatures down to 1/10th of a degree Celsius and able to discriminate to 1/100th of a degree.

Many thermal imaging units used in clinical imaging are industrial or adapted industrial units that are not well suited to clinical imaging. They use technology that is nowhere near specific enough to be able to give clinically accurate information to the level required by modern medical and veterinary practice.

The MED2000 measures and quantifies each individual pixel, and uses no edge enhancement or temperature averaging. To find out more, please contact us or Meditherm.
